Finall got to 600 with Baillon's Crake at Marievale on Sunday.

Dipped on the Skimmer at Carltonville unfortunately.

An unexpected lifer in the form of African Skimmer made us rush from Marievale to Carltonville and pushes me to 624.

Huntsman, it is situated on private property so I am not sure how accessible it is under normal circumstances. Apart from the specials that were on display there this weekend there is nothing else really to break a leg about.

Had a good morning out at Krugersdrift Dam this morning and added Black-winged Pratincole and Montagu's Harrier this brings my new total to 472 :dance: , year-end total 530!! :pray:

I ended 2011 on 495.
I added 16 lifers during the Punda Birding Challange including the:
Yellowspotted Nicator,
Yellowbilled Oxpeck,
Rufouscheeked Nightjar and
Pennantwing Nightjar.
The Little Sparrowhawk was added at D'Njala near Ellisras.
