RP -what "bait" does one use to attract the roan?

The past few years, we’ve been looking for Roan’s all over the park. But no luck.

My oldest son’s name is Roan, and seeing a Roan antelope is first on his 'wish list' when we visit the Kruger.

Maybe we’ll be lucky next year July. We'll enter in Pafuri and exit the park 9 days later at Crocodile bridge.

Best of luck roaneric Im yet to see one in a SANpark too!

On the H1-7 from Punda to Babalala on the 26th Oct we were amazed to have four different sightings of roan

Looks like the "skew horn" thing has now been spotted in two individuals!

I share your absolute delight in the Roan sightings . It will stay with you forever , whatever . To me sightings of Roan , Sable , Eland and Black Rhino are the ultimate experience . It again proves they are there , just find them .The Northen part of Kruger has always been rewarding and special.

I have only once saw a Roan in KNP and that was in 2005 on the S94 for a couple of seconds and then it was gone. Didn't even had time to grab the camera

I read in the latest issue of Wild of a camped off area just north of Mopani used exclusively for the breeding of Sable.

Surely a similar project for Roan can be started.

I saw a single Roan just south of Shingwedzi a month ago, the highlight of our trip.
