Superb pics yet again, Impisi.   Nothing like spotting one of the most endangered carnivores in Africa! Mayn animals can be "though-out" and found, I feel, with some research and intelligence, but seeing wild dog is often pot-luck.

I have been extremely lucky with wild dog sightings over the past two years, with dogs at least every second trip! Lots of sightings on the H1-1, H3 around Afsaal as well as south of Biyamiti on the S114. The H7 Orpen-Satara is also a stand out road for me as well as the S126 Sweni road. Got them a couple of times on the H4-1 Skukuza-Lower Sabie periodically.

Very lucky U_D. I have seen the doggies on my last 6 trips spread over about 8 years.

As a matter of interest, UD, do you go out at gate-open, or a little later in the morning? And primarily winter or summer?

My last sighting of the doggies was mid morning, but I have seen them 20 minutes after gate opening, and late afternoon, so there is no real 'best time' for them.

Floating wild dog!!!

I must admit to being very lucky with the doggies ... I've seen them early morning, midday, late afternoon ... Chase the sightings board and you may get lucky!

Welcome to the forum, Flyingsailor. :yaya: Super sighting; I see you put this "flying" stuff into your pics as well!
