Probably a bit late in the year then for Steppe which is a summer migrant.

What worries me a bit about the ID of Jackal Buzzard is the whiteness of the under feathers. It is not impossible for a juvl Jackal Buzzard to have this, but it is normally more brown in colour.

I am trying to find some pictures of this to show you, but am struggling a bit now.

Welsh-Ash & Chirinda: Most eagles have feathers all the way down to their feet. Except for the snake eagles and Fish eagle.
I think it is some kind of buzzard, but my Avatar tells me that it is definitily a raptor of some sorts :big_eyes:

Hi Roan. Are you referring to Chirinda's photo near the end of the last page? I was. The legs or feet of this raptor are hidden by the leaves of the tree.

the top pic seems to be a juvenile Lanner Falcon (Peregrine's don`t occur in KTP), the second photograph is of a young Martial Eagle. The Blackbreasted Snake-eagle doesn't have feathers all the way down to the feet.
