Rare sighting and visitor to LP - African Openbill

Summer resident and often stands quietly or searches for snails an mussels in shallow water.

Malachite King Fisher
a Very small kingfisher with a red bill.Perches on low overhanging vegetation and flies fast an low.
Not easy to photograph but some times at LP they land close to the hide.

The following images was taken by my son Wynand van Wyk 16 years old and started at 12.(Can also look at his website http://www.wynandvanwykphotography.com for other Malachite images)
