Is there a schedule for the use of swimming pools in the camps?

1)6am to 10am: All older than 50 may swim. :D
2)10am to 4pm: Youngsters, preferable Saffies(Due to European skins getting damaged by the sun)
3)4pm to 6pm: 30 to 50 year old non-saffies. (The sun is less hectic) 8)
4)6pm till 10pm: Those working in offices, as not to blind us with their white skin in the sun. This changes on full moon though)
5)10pm till midnight: Lovers and skinnydippers.

Then they chuck in a whole lot of chemicals for the next day.

Hope this helps.

Sorry Micetta, but there is exceptions during school holidays, public holidays etc. But to post the Shedule of Allowed Swimming Activities (SASA) for the park as devised by a taskteam of SANParks is just such a huge excercise that it will take some time.

You may google it on the web. But beware, takes a lot of bites.

  OK!

I'll put the question in another way:
Is it allowed to use the swimming pool after dark?

This schedule is so very sad...after a long day of sightings in the park it's so very hard to stay up past 10pm :(

Scipio, the frogs here at Punda are feeling so offended. I showed them your post - and no where does it allow time for them in the pool. So they say to tell you; they will be in the pool from sunset until sun up

Micetta, after dark, there are dangers lurking. Pretoriuskop at least does not allow swimming after dark. I have seen Leopard there, so it does make sense, Letaba, only with prior arrangement is the pool at the picninc spot open etc.

And also, it is needed that the pools get cleaned, chemicals added that can be dangerous to human skin, causing irritation etc.

but if you do sneak in, you may have a skinny dip.

Lockie: I knew it, catogory: Skinny Dippers

Aunti Deebee, you are at my fave camp, say hi to the froggies, and I agree, sunset to sunup, Froggie time.

Can I pesume that it is prohibited to use the swimming pools after dark?

I would prefer an answer from Sanparks

I have seen many people swim after dark. Especially during the hot summer weather in KNP.

Hmmmm, a Peeping Tom.

Yes Imberbe, Skuks, and some others it is allowed. Proximity of certain other pools i.e. Pretoriuskop, it is not allowed. Depends from camp to camp.
