Found this Photo in the archives nearly forgot that we had it.

It's sad but thought to share the behaviour of elephants paying respect to their falled comrad.

This ellie died of natural causes (confirmed by SANparks on site) while my husband and the ranger was inspecting the body this herd moved in and actually "chased" them away from the dead one, and mulled around the body for quiete some time before moving away. We have found on all the occations they would returnto the fallen even years later and move the bones around.
