South African National Parks announced today that it will be offering bursaries to students as part of their Social Science Student Support Programme.
South African National Parks announced today that it will be offering bursaries to students as part of their Social Science Student Support Programme.
This programme which supports tertiary learning and research will provide financial assistance to talented and deserving candidates.
According to Ishmael Makwaeba, Manager Community-Based Conservation, SANParks is committed to contributing to South Africa’s national skills development agenda “ the programme strives to identify, educate and equip students who have the potential to excel and make a significant impact in the Social Sciences, Heritage Conservation and related fields”.
These bursaries will be awarded to students studying in fields related to professions considered important for the operations and mission of SANParks and would support the full period of study within the specified fields relevant to SANParks.
Closing date for applications, 28 February 2012 undergraduates and 31 may 2012 for postgraduate students.
